Rex Homan has an international reputation as a wood sculptor but also creates pieces in bronze. Strongly influenced by Pacific cultures, including his own Maori heritage, Rex’s work shows a diversity of form and dramatic flow of line, underpinned by skilled craftsmanship.

The sweeping lines in his work echo the effortless suspension on thermal updraughts of native New Zealand birds found in his sea and upland environment.  Rex’s powerful works reveal his acute powers of observation.
